The Swing of Things

As we begin preparations for the ninth edition of Classical:NEXT, we have a few important updates to share with you.

Following the announcement of the Eurovision Song Contest taking place in Rotterdam on the original date of Classical:NEXT 2020, alternative arrangements have been made. To best accommodate our delegates, Classical:NEXT will once again take place at De Doelen Concert Hall in Rotterdam, but please be aware of the new dates:

**NEW DATES**

18 – 21 May

As you will notice, these dates mean Classical:NEXT spans Monday to Thursday, just the week after the original dates. To better suit the working days, there will also be major changes to the overall programme schedule, with exciting new formats and different event hours.

The new schedule overview is as follows: Day 1 – Monday, 18 May 2020

Day 3 – Wednesday, 20 May 2020
10:00 – 18:00: Conference, Expo, Daytime Showcases, All-Day Registration and Badge Pick-Up

20:00 – late: Showcase Festival, Innovation Award and Club Night in various venues

Day 4 – Thursday 21 May

11:00 – 14:00 Tailored Networking Event for all Delegates with Keynote in the city of Rotterdam

The process for submitting Conference, Showcase and
Project Pitch proposals continues as normal.

The deadline to apply is Friday, 27 September 2019.

Booking Your Accommodation

In the week after the Eurovision Song Contest, many hotels will continue to block rooms. We have, however, reserved hundreds of hotel rooms at regular price for the duration of Classical:NEXT.

We ask you, until further notice, to please book all accommodation using the hotel booking codes that will be provided in the coming days.

The Call for Proposals

The search is underway for the best and brightest in classical and art music!

Everyone with new music, new approaches, new interpretations and ideas, as well as burning passions and exhilarating experiences you would like to share, are invited and encouraged to submit proposals for the 2020 Classical:NEXT Programme.

The Classical:NEXT 2020 Jury

Each year, an independent and international Jury handpick the official Classical:NEXT Conference, Showcase and Project Pitch Programme. Hailing from diverse backgrounds, the Jury is made up of eight distinguished music professionals and two Club Curators.

The members of the 2020 Jury are:
