IN THEIR WORDS

“A learning experience – selected to showcase or not!…Mundial gave me a lot of connections and also gave me a better grip of Canada in general, what festivals exist, the geographic map (I had no clue before I started to book this tour), etc. People have generally been very helpful and supportive. The best conference I’ve been to!”   Gabriel Dluzewski, FRÄNDER

“Mundial presents excellent opportunity across the world music industry spectrum, combining the right people with the right setting to make many fruitful outcomes. All credit for making something that felt genuinely meaningful!”   George Bell, The Music Halls Project, UK

“Mundial was a revelation. I loved seeing a focus on such diverse artists and a deep dive into the range and complexity of Canadian diaspora.”

Darek Mazzone, KEXP, USA

“Mundial Montréal goes above and beyond most similar gatherings: there is an emphasis on connection here that often doesn’t happen in industry events designed around business. It feels like an event that wants to help presenters do better work, not just present artists that will sell. The focus on Indigenous artists, the conviviality, the presenter’s sessions, the way the group moves together through the event all serves to build a community. And that is a beautiful thing.”   Natalie Neuert, University of Vermont Lane Series, USA
