inJazz in 2021?
What about inJazz in 2021? Considering all circumstances, we do not think a complete international jazz conference and showcase festival – a diverse gathering of jazz colleagues with inspiring ideas for the future – will lay within our possibilities. This is why we haven’t opened the showcase applications for Dutch bands yet. We are currently considering what the best options are to keep promoting Dutch jazz and jazz-related music, as well as how to offer inspiring encounters with colleagues from The Netherlands and abroad. Because, we believe that ideas and creativity must be shared and kept alive! This, while keeping in mind limited budgets for the upcoming year. Meaning that we have to get creative ourselves. If you have any clever ideas and/or suggestions, you are welcome to share them with us.
In the next few weeks, inJazz and its team will keep you updated on how we will continue to introduce to you to great jazz from The Netherlands and at the same still grow our network around Europe.
Jazzahead 29 April – 3 May
As you might have noticed, Jazzahead! will not be happening as a live event in Bremen in 2021. Instead, the fair takes place digitally. This means that (for now) there is no Dutch Umbrella stand. It also means that the four Dutch bands who were to perform in 2020, are looking for alternative ways to present themselves.
We are in contact with Jazzahead! about participation. Registration will open mid-January and if we have any news or discount registration offers, we will update you through our newsletter.
