De 27ste editie van de World Music Expo (WOMEX) van 27 tot en met 31 oktober 2021 was om meerdere redenen gedenkwaardig. Allereerst vanwege het feit dat we weer mochten reizen en van livemuziek uit de hele wereld mochten genieten. Op de tweede plaats omdat Portugal voor het eerst gastland is en op de derde plaats omdat deze WOMEX een opvallend Nederlands tintje had.
