Here is your chance.
WOMEX organisers Piranha Arts are looking for the next ‘Host City’ proposals for 2026, 2027 and 2028. Here are the preferred dates for the weeks before daylight saving:
- 28 October – 01 November 2026
- 27-31 October 2027
- 25-29 October 2028
As the host city, you’ll have the unique opportunity to open your doors to the world, and promote your local culture and artistic talent.
All cities and partners within the EU + EEA are invited to consider and suggest a WOMEX Host City for 2026, 2027 and 2028. Location proposals coming from Switzerland may also be considered for this call.
If interested in knowing more about making a Host City proposal, please contact Alex Walter, WOMEX Director, and Helena Tsiflidis, Head of Production. The deadline for submissions is Friday, 12 January 2024.
However, for entities with their primary interest in the Host City status for 2026, we ask you to indicate your interest to us by 13 October 2023. Meeting at WOMEX in A Coruña (25 – 29 October 2023) would be an ideal opportunity to discuss this in person.
